Abstract
The purpose of this research was to find out grammatical errors in narrative writing at Third-Year Students of SMAN 1 Durai. The reason of choosing this topic was the researcher found problems in students, school, and English subject. This research design was descriptive qualitative research. The data collected through writing test. The total participants were 34 students of SMAN 1 Durai in third-year. In collecting the data, the researcher asked the students to wrote narrative text in three paragraphs consist of identification, complication and resolution. The researcher analyzed the data by using Corder’s theory. The result of this research showed that the students did errors when writing narrative text. It was omission, addition, selection and ordering. There were two types of grammatical errors found, i.e simple past tense and adverb of time.
