Abstract
Abstrak The purpose of this research is To know the level of political participation of the community in the 2014 legislative election in Tanjungpinang City.Pimilu 2014 in Tanjungpinang City took place many of them only participate without having a clear purpose. They just go along, and do not know how to choose the candidate who was competing. There are even those who did not use their rights because they do not know the benefits. Of course this is very worrying about us as a nation because these voters are hopeful, and future leaders. The type of research used is a qualitative descriptive approach that aims to determine the level of public participation in the 2014 legislative election in the city of Tanjungpinang. From the findings on the research object, Factors influencing the participation rate in the 2014 legislative election seen in the participation of the community in the 2014 election is quite high compared to 2009 ago. In 2009 the number of parties is too much and less approach calan-candidate legisaltif to So that the community is less active in the 2009 election and then in 2014 the number of party 12 so that the community is easy to remember and calan-legislative candidates often come down to be sociable.It turns out that people choose because given the help and help in the promises so that people want to choose these calan-calan.sehinnga enrollment rate increases.
